Hello!!
On Monday we did some service at the Hursts home. They have a project of making 100 baby blankets to give away to newborn babies at the hospital in whose mother's don't have anything to wrap them up in and take them home. It's so sad some mothers just have a cement sack to take their babies home in. These blankets are so cute and I know they'll mean the world to these mothers.
This week we had Zone Conference on Tuesday! It was really good! We learnt more about the Holy Ghost and how to pray with more faith.
It's a known fact that some apartments are just disgusting so Elder Toone (In charge of apartments and stuff) came up with an incentive for us to keep our apartments clean! We were given a checklist of things that need to be cleaned and there are points for each thing and so Elder Toone will surprise visit our apartment once a transfer as early as 7:05am! The apartment with the highest score gets shouted a free lunch by Elder and Sister Toone! Sounds pretty good to me! We also had KFC for lunch too which was great!
On Wednesday we had a special Sister's meeting. Apparently, this was happening with the last Mission president's wife but this is the first time it's been held again. All the Sisters in the Mission got together and we discussed different things like service, how to make quick meals and making sure our apartments are nice and clean. It was a really good meeting and I especially loved Sister Hansen's training. She said "Remember you are a child of God, remind your companion, those you meet.....Do the best you can and that is enough, God's grace will help you."
Alma 36: 24-25
What President said was good too! He said, "Be diligent, not just doing the work but doing it the Lord's way." If you want to know what our reward for being diligent is have a look at Alma 36: 24-25. If you want to know what diligence looks like on a mission, look at the schedule!
Sister Srinivasan (STL) said, "treat your companion like a Princess πΈπ½" That can go for everyone! Treat everyone like the Prince and Princesses we all are!
Sister Katru was transferred to Laj Pat as a Sister was leaving to the MTC so now it's just me and Sister Meenakshi!
I think it was a monkey weekend! On Saturday I saw a monkey chilling In the park in our complex then on Sunday I saw a guy with a monkey on a lease and would get it to jump up on all the cars stopped at the lights and ask for money. It was pretty cool!
Love Sister Watts
