Hello!!
We were on the train and a guy was looking at me and then I made eye contact with him and he spoke to Sister Katru and was like I thought she was Indian but then I saw her eyes. Ahh I'm almost Indian but my eyes give me away too much haha.
Also fun fact about my companion Sister Katru! We went shopping and she didn't know what sale meant! I never imagined I would ever have a conversation with someone and have to explain what a sale was haha.
Today for P-day we played bocce with President and Sister Hansen and then we went to see Toy Story 4!!!! President said not to get our Hope's up about the movie but we all thought it was good! I dont know if our limitations in watching movies had anything to do with it?
I made a post on facebook about scriptures and an Elder thanked me and kept saying how awesome I am and how good my posts are because turns out that someone he's teaching saw the post and then bore his testimony which was a major breakthrough! Yay facebook!
We had someone come to church on sunday! The auto driver messed up though and took her all over the place so she didn't get there until it ended but it was still so great that she put in the effort and came! Now she knows the place for next time even though our location will be changing because currently we dont have air con because they say we haven't paid even though we have and right underneath there's another church so when new people come they lead them to their floor so now we stand outside the building too so the other church can't steal our people haha. It's kinda hard to distinguish our members from the other church though they all dress the same and they're so friendly and come up to us and give us hugs and we're like are you a member?
Oh and exciting news!!! I hit my ONE YEAR MARK on Wednesday!!!! Super exciting stuff!! When they say that time flies on a mission it's no joke! feels like just last week that I got on a plane leaving my family and Australia never to see them again for 18 months but it also feels like I've been here for an eternity! This experience has helped me grow closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and trust in them like never before. They love me and they love you! I'm so thankful that I'm able to have the Holy Ghost with me to testify of the truths of this gospel and provide me with feelings of love and comfort always, no matter where in the world I might be. I have loved being able to see first hand how the gospel of Jesus Christ can truly change lives. I pray that there is a difference and something only I can do to touch the hearts of the people here in India. I'm grateful that I've been able to learn so much on my mission and i hope that I'll be able to continue to learn each day and leave my mission more christlike than when I first arrived. Maccas has also been closed for a long time but they must of known Wednesday was a special day and opened just for me! Of course they were out of ice cream but I was perfectly content with my large McChicken meal with sprite! 😍
Love Sister Watts
